Armenia sees its first snow of the season
Some parts of Armenia received their first snow of the season last night, Gagik Surenyan, Deputy Director of the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center, said in a social media post.
He shared a photo of Gegharot, a village in Armenia’s Aragatsotn Province, where heavy snow fell overnight.
Meteorologists had forecast wet snow for Shirak, Aragatsotni, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor and Gegharkunik Provinces.
Other parts of Armenia saw downpours and thunderstorms on Thursday and overnight Friday.
The powerful cyclone is expected to weaken today.
