Azerbaijan reports death of Armenian woman in occupied Stepanakert
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Health on Wednesday reported the death of a 70-year-old Armenian woman in Stepanakert, the capital of Azeri-occupied Artsakh.
The woman, identified as Vera Aghasyan, reportedly died from acute cardiopulmonary failure caused by pulmonary embolism.
The ministry stated that she had received appropriate medical care.
Artsakh’s Human Rights Defender Gegham Stepanyan announced in September that some 60 Armenians had remained in Artsakh after its military seizure by Azerbaijan.
14 Armenians are now living in Artsakh.
