Armenian expert: Israeli strikes on Iran ‘went unnoticed’ by many Iranians
Iran specialist Vardan Voskanyan has weighed in on Israel’s overnight attacks on Iran.
In a social media post on Saturday, he cited Tehran’s statement that the airstrikes targeted military bases in the provinces of Ilam and Khuzestan, claiming that Israeli jets did not cross into Iranian airspace.
“Iran did not confirm Tel Aviv's claim that 20 targets had been struck, stating that the strikes caused limited damage,” Voskanyan wrote.
He underlined that the Israeli strikes “went unnoticed” by many Iranians.
“Iran’s airspace has already opened and a large part of the population of this 1,648,000-square-kilometer country did not even “notice” the attacks,” the expert stated, pointing to disinformation regarding the Israeli retaliation.
