Lawyer insists on Armenia’s participation in COP29
Human rights lawyer Siranush Sahakyan, who represents Armenian prisoners of war and their families at the ECHR, insists on Armenia’s participation in the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Azerbaijan.
“Armenia’s participation in COP29 in Baku is crucial,” she told a news conference in Yerevan on Monday.
The lawyer underscored that the UN climate summit addresses pressing environmental issues with a focus on human rights.
“Armenia’s rejection of the UN summit would be completely unjustified,” Sahakyan stated.
