
Armenia to host UN Biodiversity Conference in 2026
Armenia will host the next UN Biodiversity Conference of the Parties in 2026, the Ministry of Envionment reported.
"In 2026, Armenia is set to host the 17th Conference of the Parties (COP17) to the Convention on Biological Diversity," the ministry said on Friday.
"With 65 votes in favor, Armenia was selected as the host country for the Conference of the Parties on Biodiversity," it added.
Armenia won the vote at the CBD's 16th Conference of Parties (COP16) held in Cali, Colombia, which brought together delegations from 196 countries.
