Four arrested after raids at Yerevan district administration
Four people, including officials, were arrested on Tuesday after law-enforcement authorities raided Yerevan's Kentron district administration.
The searches were conducted at the Trade and Services Department of the Kentron district administration, Yerevan Municipality spokesman Hayk Kostanyan announced.
The suspects were arrested as part of a criminal probe by the Anti-Corruption Committee.
Its spokesperson, Marina Ohanjanyan, told Panorama.am that those arrested included local officials, but did not elaborate further, citing the ongoing preliminary investigation into the case.
Sources told Panorama.am that Trade and Services Department Char Arsen Aghabekyan and his deputy were among those arrested on suspicion of corruption.
