Yerevan municipal employees remanded in custody
Four people, including three officials, have been detained for two months as part of a criminal probe into corruption at Yerevan's Kentron district administration.
A court in the Armenian capital on Wednesday approved the Anti-Corruption Committee’s request to remand them in custody, Panorama.am has learned.
“They have been charged with giving and accepting bribes,” the committee spokeswoman, Marina Ohanjanyan, told Panorama.
The four suspects were arrested on Tuesday after law-enforcement officers raided the Trade and Services Department of the Kentron administrative district.
One of the detainees is said to be a citizen who is accused of bribing the municipal officials.
