Defense minister: Armenia has no plans to use military to reclaim occupied lands
Armenia has no plans to reclaim around 200 square kilometers of land currently under Azerbaijani occupation by military means, Defense Minister Suren Papikyan has said.
Speaking at parliamentary debates on the 2025 draft state budget on Wednesday, the minister assured that the ongoing border delimitation process with Azerbaijan allows for a diplomatic settlement of the issue.
“The Armenian army has no other task apart from protecting Armenia's territorial integrity from external attacks," Papikyan added.
