Armenia's interior minister also resigns
Armenia’s Interior Minister Vahe Ghazaryan has stepped down following the resignations submitted by several other senior officials.
In a statement announcing his resignation on Monday, Ghazaryan thanked Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his government for entrusting him with the ministerial post during a critical time for the country.
Pashinyan said in a statement on Monday that he had asked a number of high-ranking officials to step down.
The resigned officials include Investigation Committee Chairman Argishti Kyaramyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Rustam Badasyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan and Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) Chair Karen Andreasyan.
