Armenia's top investigator announces resignation
Armenia’s Investigation Committee Chairman Argishti Kyaramyan has stepped down.
“The time has come for me to announce my decision to resign as chairman of the Investigative Committee. It is conditioned by internal reassessments related to the situation surrounding the activities of the law-enforcement system as a whole during the recent period,” he said in a statement on Monday.
The chief investigator thanked all of his colleagues, the Armenian prime minister and government members for the joint work and trust put in him “at these challenging times for Armenia”.
