GM Robert Hovhannisyan qualifies for FIDE World Cup
The European Individual Chess Championship 2024 has concluded.
GM Aleksandar Indjic from Serbia became the champion, scoring 9 points out of 11. Belgian GM Daniel Dardha from Belgium is the silver medalist with 8.5 points. GM Frederik Svane took the 3rd place with 8 points, the Armenian Chess Federation reported.
Among Armenian chess players, GM Robert Hovhannisyan qualified for the FIDE World Cup, scoring 8 points and finishing in the 8th place.
FM Erik Gasparyan scored 7 points and took the 2nd place in the U18 category. Erik also fulfilled his first GM norm during the championship.
FM Hayk Yeritsyan fulfilled his second IM norm, scoring 6 points.
