Armenia welcomes Israel-Lebanon ceasefire
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has welcomed the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Lebanon's Hezbollah.
"Armenia welcomes the recently reached ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, and expresses its hope that this truce will serve as a pivotal step towards addressing humanitarian issues and fostering peace in the entire region," the ministry said in a post on X.
The ceasefire began at 4 a.m. Wednesday, a day after Israel carried out its most intense wave of strikes in Beirut and its southern suburbs since the war began. At least 24 people were killed in strikes across the country, according to local authorities.
