Simon Abkarian's 'Electra' to hit the stage in Yerevan
Renowned French-Armenian actor and director Simon Abkarian’s play “Electre des bas-fonds” (Electra in the Underworld) will be performed in Yerevan after its great success in France and other parts of the world.
Abkarian and artists of his ballet company La Compagnie des 5 Roues have arrived in Armenia as part of the Yerevan International Theater Festival.
They are set to perform “Electra” at Yerevan’s Gabriel Sundukyan National Academic Theater on December 5 and 6, the theater reported.
In 2020, Simon Abkarian's play won 3 Molière Awards (the highest French theatre honor).
