Opposition MP criticizes Armenia's move to freeze CSTO membership
Opposition MP Artur Khachatryan deplored the decision to freeze Armenia's participation in the Russian-led Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO).
"Membership in the CSTO isn’t chicken meat that you can freeze and thaw," he told reporters on Wednesday, adding Armenia has to make a final decision.
Khachatryan criticized the Armenian leadership's diversification claims, noting that NATO does not involve Armenia in its military exercises.
The Hayastan faction MP also charged that Armenia's rejection of CSTO drills could be influenced by Azerbaijan.
