Baku summons Polish diplomat over Duda’s visit to Armenian-Azeri border
Polish Charge d'Affaires Michal Greczylo on Thursday was summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
The ministry raised protest against Polish President Andrzej Duda's visit to the Armenian-Azerbaijani border together with the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA).
"It was recalled that the mission, contrary to the stated objectives of regional stability, as well as contribution to confidence building between Azerbaijan and Armenia, was widely used as a tool against Azerbaijan," it added.
On the last day of his official visit to Armenia, Duda patrolled the border in Paruyr Sevak with the EU monitors and met with the Polish delegation that is part of the mission.
“Honored to welcome the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, in Paruyr Sevak today. Head of Mission Markus Ritter provided a briefing on the current situation and EUMA’s work on the ground. The President also had the opportunity to meet with the contingent of EUMA,” the mission posted on X.
