Armenia closely monitoring developments in Syria – Foreign Ministry
The Armenian Foreign Ministry is closely monitoring the situation in Syria through the channels of the Armenian diplomatic service.
In an interview with Armenpress, the ministry spokesperson, Ani Badalyan, reiterated an earlier statement confirming that no Armenian citizens are among the victims of the ongoing events in Syria.
“The Foreign Ministry is following the developments in Syria through the channels of the Armenian diplomatic service. As we have reported, we can also confirm at this point that no Armenian citizens are among the victims. The Armenian Embassy in Damascus is operating in emergency mode,” Ani Badalyan stated.
According to Badalyan, the Consulate General of Armenia in Aleppo also continues its operations from Damascus.
"Depending on the further developments of the situation, the Foreign Ministry will make appropriate decisions," the spokesperson concluded.
