Opposition MPs sue Armenian Foreign Ministry
Four lawmakers from the opposition Hayastan bloc have jointly sued Armenia's Foreign Ministry and government over restricted access to the draft peace treaty with Azerbaijan.
The lawsuit, filed by MPs Kristine Vardanyan, Anna Grigoryan, Gegham Manukyan and Artur Khachatryan, challenges Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan's 14 March 2024 order.
A preliminary court hearing on the case is scheduled for 14 January 2025.
"We will be making consistent efforts to have this arbitrary decision scrapped and to restore our access to the crucial document for the public," Vardanyan said in a statement.
