Armenian government lowers economic growth forecast to 5.1%
Armenia’s Finance Minister Vahe Hovhannisyan presented an updated version of the 2025 draft state budget at a parliament session on Tuesday.
According to the revised projections, the country’s GDP in 2025 is expected to reach 10 trillion 891 billion drams, which is 158 billion drams lower than the initial forecast.
The economic growth forecast has been reduced by 0.5 percentage points to 5.1%.
“State budget revenues are projected at 2 trillion 837 billion drams, 35.5 billion drams less than initially planned. The decrease is attributed to a revision of tax revenues which have been lowered by 39.6 billion drams,” the minister announced.
At the same time, the volume of official grants has increased by 1.6 billion drams, while the budget expenditures have been reduced by 40.8 billion drams.
