Drivers warned about icy roads in Armenia
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about road closures and icy conditions in Armenia as of Tuesday morning.
In particular, the road linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province is closed to traffic.
Drivers are warned to watch out for black ice on the Aghvani-Tatev road, as well as on the roads in Ltsen, a village in Syunik Province, and the Ashotsk region.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is open to all traffic.
