MP Hovik Aghazaryan denies access to classified documents
Armenian MP Hovik Aghazaryan has denied access to classified documents following accusations of information leaks.
Aghazaryan was expelled from the ruling Civil Contract party on Tuesday due to “leaks of confidential information of state and party significance, as well as gross violations of public moral norms."
“I’ve never requested access to any classified document during my tenure,” the MP told reporters on Wednesday.
He acknowledged that he could have shared “something unintended” with journalists but emphasized that it was already discussed in the presence of 60-70 MPs at meetings with Pashinyan.
