Drivers warned over icy roads in Armenia
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about road closures and icy road conditions in Armenia as of Wednesday morning.
In particular, the road linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province is closed.
Drivers are warned to watch out for black ice on the Aghvani-Tatev and Tatev-Ltsen roadways, as well as the Ashotsk region roads.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is open to all traffic.
