Expert: Baku discusses mechanisms for 'return of expelled Azerbaijanis' to Armenia
Varuzhan Geghamyan, a geopolitical strategist and regional security expert, has reacted to an international forum in Baku aimed at “promoting justice for Azerbaijanis expelled from Armenia”.
“After some people with Armenian surnames justified the crimes committed by Azerbaijan and Turkey against the Armenian people and promised Baku not to fight against it in any way at the Armenian parliamentary hearings on Wednesday, Azerbaijan is hosting an international conference today led by its President Aliyev, which is entitled “Right to Return: Promoting Justice for Azerbaijanis Forcibly Expelled from Armenia”,” Geghamyan wrote on Telegram.
“The conference seeks “to develop mechanisms for the return of Azerbaijanis to their historical homeland”, i.e. to the territory of the Republic of Armenia.
“Naturally, there will be no response from the Armenian Foreign Ministry or any other state agency. Why? You know the answer perfectly well,” the expert added.
