Armenia may delay paying its CSTO membership fees until late 2025
Armenia may delay paying its 2024 CSTO membership dues until late 2025, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Pankin has announced.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan froze Armenia's participation in the CSTO in February 2024, citing security concerns.
Armenia has stopped making financial contributions to the organization and participating in its events and exercises.
“For two years Armenia may not pay this debt. Subsequently, appropriate decisions will be made,” Pankin told RIA Novosti on Friday, noting that the country currently has a debt for 2024.
