Armenian parliament speaker responds to accusations over official cars
Armenian National Assembly Speaker Alen Simonyan has unveiled the number of cars servicing the parliament in his Telegram channel in response to media reports.
“It's addressed to all oppositionists and journalists associated with them, who accuse us of using an inordinate number of official cars and lavish spending.
Before the revolution, in early 2018, the National Assembly had 81 vehicles, which further reduced as follows:
2018 - by 10 vehicles
2019 - by 4 vehicles
2020 - by 3 vehicles
2021 - by 17 vehicles
2022 - by 2 vehicles
2023 - by 3 machines
2024 - the process of reduction by 12 more cars has started and will be completed by the end of the year.
And at the beginning of 2025 the National Assembly will have only 30 vehicles," he wrote.
