MP Hakob Aslanyan suspends cooperation with Armenia's ruling faction
MP Hakob Aslanyan is suspending cooperation with Armenia’s ruling Civil Contract faction for one month and leaving the group.
In a statement on Wednesday, Aslanyan cited the ouster of his former teammate Hovik Aghazaryan as the reason for his decision.
The deputy rejected the accusations that Aghazaryan leaked confidential information to the media and called for the creation of a group involving Civil Contract MPs to probe the case.
"If the members of the group fail to convince me to change my mind, my further cooperation with the Civil Contract faction will become impossible,” he added.
