UEFA fines Armenia's Football Federation
UEFA has imposed charges against the Football Federation of Armenia for the use of fireworks during the Nations League match against Faroe Islands on November 14.
The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) decided to fine the Football Federation of Armenia €20,000 and ordered the partial closure of the Football Federation’s stadium (i.e. a total of 500 adjacent seats in the south and southeast stands), during the next UEFA competition match in which the Football Federation of Armenia will play as host association.
The said partial stadium closure is suspended during a probationary period of two years, starting from the date of the present decision.
The CEDB also decided to fine Armenia's Football Federation €17,500 for transmitting "a message unfit for a sports event".
