Drivers warned about icy roads in Armenia
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about a closed road and difficult driving conditions in Armenia on Monday morning.
In particular, the road linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province is shut down.
The Spitak serpentines are difficult for trailer trucks to pass.
Drivers are warned to watch out for black ice on roads in the highlands of Syunik Province, Gegharkunik Province, as well as in the Aragats and Aparan regions and on the Tigranashen bends.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is open to all traffic.
