None of Baku's demands meets strong opposition from Pashinyan's government, MP says
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s government does not strongly oppose any of the demands listed by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev for a bilateral peace deal, opposition Pativ Unem faction MP Tigran Abrahamyan claims.
“Virtually, Azerbaijan has not made any demands which are categorically rejected by the Pashinyan government, including changes to Armenia’s constitution and the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group,” he wrote on Facebook on Saturday, referring to Aliyev’s latest statements.
“The authorities that declared Artsakh as part of Azerbaijan must have no hard time agreeing to disband the OSCE Minsk Group created three decades ago to deal with the Artsakh conflict or remove the reference to Artsakh from the Declaration of Independence.
“Why then is Azerbaijan dragging out the process? It’s first aimed at increasing the demands to Armenia and allowing Baku to carry out bigger plans including, if necessary, through the use of force, in case of favorable geopolitical conditions,” Abrahamyan penned.
