Pashinyan admits 'a big mistake' over Karabakh negotiation process
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan claims the Nagorno-Karabakh negotiation process completely focused on its return to Azerbaijan since the 1994 ceasefire.
“The peace process had no other content,” he wrote on Facebook on Monday.
“The narratives about discussions on other issues were introduced in Armenia exclusively for domestic political purposes. In this context, I made a big mistake. In 2018, after familiarizing myself with the negotiation process, I failed to acknowledge this to myself (the well-known model of patriotism did not allow me to) and, therefore, I did not explain it all to the people,” Pashinyan added.
