Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan apologizes to supporters for his movement's unmet goals
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, the leader of the Holy Struggle movement, offered apologies to the people for the protest movement’s failure to oust Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his “government of evil”.
“I would like to apologize to everyone for the movement’s failure to achieve its goals at this point,” he told a year-end press conference on Friday, pledging to continue campaigning for regime change in Armenia.
“Our efforts will be driven by the necessity to remove the government of evil in Armenia,” he added.
Galstanyan underlined that many of the movement leaders, including businessmen, physicians and parents of fallen soldiers, were harassed and intimidated on social media and by law enforcement officers.
The cleric again blasted Pashinyan's government for bowing to all demands made by Azerbaijan, promoting a false peace agenda and mishandling the security challenges facing the country.
