Armenia sees rise in hospitalizations for acute respiratory infections
Armenia has seen an increase in hospitalizations for acute respiratory viral infections, including pneumonia, prompting calls for emergency services.
The National Center for Disease Control and Prevention reports that laboratory tests confirm the ongoing circulation of the H1pdm09 subtype of influenza A in the country.
The New Year holiday season has created favorable conditions for the spread of viral infections, especially in crowded areas, due to their airborne transmission.
The Ministry of Health strongly urges the public to avoid contact with infected persons, stay home if feeling sick, wear a mask in crowded places, stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids and maintain good hygiene.
