AAIC announces creation of Artsakh Preservation Front
The Armenian-American Information Center (AAIC) announced the creation of the Artsakh Preservation Front in a statement released on Monday. Read the full statement below.
"To unite Artsakh Armenians displaced to the USA due to the forced exodus from Artsakh, the Artsakh Preservation Front public organization has been established. The newly created organization aims to support compatriots relocated from Artsakh to the USA by addressing their challenges, assessing resources, and preserving their identity.
Recently, the founding assembly of the organization was held in Los Angeles, bringing together Artsakh representatives of the Armenian community. The founders emphasized the importance of establishing a strong public organization in the USA to represent Artsakh Armenians, protect their interests, and amplify their voice at local and federal levels.
The Artsakh Preservation Front plans to undertake initiatives to provide legal support to keep the Artsakh issue on the agenda at the US federal political level.
Long-term plans include supporting the education of newly relocated children to preserve their Armenian upbringing and Artsakh identity. Additionally, the organization aims to develop and safeguard Artsakh’s culture, dialect, and traditions.
The vision of the founders is to make this model inspiring not only for Artsakh Armenians but also for preserving the Armenian identity throughout the USA. Artsakh Armenians have long symbolized resilience and strength, and the organizers seek to demonstrate that Artsakh Armenians continue to fight—not only for their rights but also for the entire Armenian nation."
