Catholicos Karekin II's New Year message to be aired on 8 TV channels
The annual New Year address by Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II will be aired on eight TV channels, including Armenia TV, Yerkir Media, Kentron, H2, AR, Channel 5, Boon TV and Shoghakat, lawyer Gevorg Danielyan, a member of the Supreme Spiritual Counci, reported on Monday.
Earlier, the Mother See of the Holy Etchmiadzin said it "does not consider it appropriate" for the message to be broadcast on Public TV at 9:55 p.m. local time.
Traditionally, the Armenian church leader’s message has been aired on Public TV and other channels before midnight.
