Drivers warned about road closure in Armenia
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about a road closure in Armenia on Friday morning.
In particular, the road linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province is inaccessible.
The Vardenyats Pass is passable for trailer trucks with chains in place.
Drivers are recommended to use winter tires.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is open to all traffic.
