Armenia rejects Azerbaijan's false claims of border shooting
The Armenian Defense Ministry has dismissed Azerbaijan's allegations of border shooting as disinformation.
"The statement by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense, claiming that on January 5, between 10:00 p.m. and 10:10 p.m., the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia opened fire on Azerbaijani positions in the southeastern section of the border, does not correspond to reality," the ministry said in a statement on Monday.
"It should be noted that the Armenian Prime Minister's Office has proposed the establishment of a joint Armenian-Azerbaijani mechanism to investigate ceasefire violations and related cases. To date, Azerbaijan has not provided a response to this proposal," it added.
