Snow hits parts of Armenia
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about a road closure in Armenia on Monday morning.
In particular, the road linking the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province is inaccessible.
The Vardenyats Pass is difficult for all types of vehicles to pass.
Snowfall is reported in the Ashotsk region, the towns of Hrazdan, Charentsavan, Yeghvard, Sevan, Vardenis and Chambarak, as well as along the Tigranashen bends.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is closed to all traffic.
