New Armenian envoy hands over credentials to Iranian president
Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Hakobyan on Tuesday presented his credentials to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, the Foreign Ministry of Armenia reported.
"The President of Iran congratulated the Ambassador of Armenia on his appointment and wished him successful and productive tenure," the ministry said in a statement.
Hakobyan reiterated the commitment of the Armenian government to advancing relations with friendly Iran in all directions.
"The interlocutors exchanged views on the current agenda of Armenia-Iran relations and highlighted the importance of further developing and deepening cooperation based on mutual respect and trust," reads the statement.
