Armenian deputy sports minister resigns
Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan on Wednesday confirmed the resignation of her deputy, Karen Giloyan.
Speaking at a news conference, the minister said his decision to step down was driven by a number of factors.
“My relationship with Karen Giloyan has remained unchanged, regardless of any positions,” Andreasyan announced.
The minister lauded Giloyan's extensive experience in the sports sector.
"I am confident that he will remain engaged in the field of sports, and we'll continue to collaborate on many projects," she added.
Karen Giloyan had served as deputy minister since December 2020.
