Expert: Armenian leadership lacks 'plan B' for possible war
Political analyst Suren Sargsyan has called out the Armenian authorities for failure to handle security challenges facing the country.
“Everyone agrees that a peaceful resolution to all problems is the best-case scenario,” he wrote on Facebook on Thursday. “No one underestimates the current realities or the interests of key players in the South Caucasus region. The catastrophic outcomes of any escalation are well understood.”
“The government’s next fatal mistake is its lack of a "plan B" in the event of a possible war without strong alliances, security guarantees or effective deterrence mechanisms in place,” the expert stated.
