Armenian archbishop voices support for Artsakh leaders facing sham trials in Baku
Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan has expressed support for Artsakh’s military and political leaders, as well as other Armenian prisoners illegally held in Azerbaijan, who are facing sham trials in Baku.
In a message shared on social media, the Holy Struggle movement leader emphasized that Armenian prisoners were under pressure from Azerbaijani authorities to provide false testimonies.
“We stand united in supporting our compatriots held captive in Baku, assuring them that we stand with them and that no pressure from Baku can weaken our resolve or the determination of Armenia and the Armenian people to defend their state, citizens and bring them back to their homeland,” he said.
Galstanyan also called on the people of Armenia and the Diaspora, as well as public and political organizations and activists, to voice unwavering support for Armenian prisoners.
