Protest for release of Armenian prisoners to be held outside UN office in Yerevan
A protest demanding the immediate release of Armenian prisoners held in Baku will take place outside the UN office in Yerevan on Friday, to be followed by a march toward the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
The demonstration has been organized by a group of Artsakh organizations.
"At the protest, which comes in response to the start of sham trials against 16 Armenian prisoners in Azerbaijan, demands will be issued both to the Armenian authorities and the international community to secure the release of Armenian prisoners and ensure the protection of their rights,” the organizations said in a joint statement.
They urged all to join the protest.
