Russian envoy summoned to Armenian Foreign Ministry
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has summoned Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin over a news program featuring anti-Armenian narratives.
“Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin on Wednesday was summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry with regards to the "Weekly News" program broadcasted on the All-Russia State Television of the Russian Federation on January 12, 2025, during which artificially generated narratives against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia were voiced,” the ministry said in a statement.
At the meeting, the ambassador was handed a note of protest.
