Political analyst downplays Armenia's decision to join anti-ISIS coalition
Political analyst Suren Sargsyan has downplayed Armenia’s move to join the U.S.-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS as part of a bilateral strategic partnership agreement.
“There’s no need to be concerned about Armenia joining the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS,” he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
Sargsyan recalled that Armenia joined the International Religious Freedom Alliance in 2020, which, he claims, has brought no substantial benefits to the country.
"We gave absolutely nothing to this alliance and gained nothing from it. We still haven’t managed to capitalize on anything," the analyst emphasized.
