Armenian church leader off to US
His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, on Wednesday embarked on a patriarchal visit to the United States.
The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin reports that Karekin II will participate in the funeral ceremony of philanthropist Sarkis Bedevian in the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America.
During his visit, the Armenian religious leader will also meet with representatives of diocesan and national organizations to discuss future plans and initiatives of the Mother See.
