Armenian MPs hold a minute's silence for deceased colleague
A regular session of the Armenian parliament began with a choir performing a modified version of the national anthem.
Lawmakers then observed a minute's silence in memory of Mher Sahakyan, an opposition Hayastan faction MP who was killed in a car crash last week.
Following the tribute, Julieta Azaryan took the oath of office as a new member of the ruling Civil Contract faction, replacing David Arushanyan, who resigned from the parliament in December.
Hayastan MP Gegham Manukyan later criticized the performance of the altered version of the national anthem, calling it a violation of the law.
