Drivers warned of icy roads in parts of Armenia
The Rescue Service has warned drivers about a road closure and icy conditions in Armenia.
In particular, the road connecting the Amberd high mountain meteorological station to Lake Kari in Aragatsotn Province is currently inaccessible.
Drivers are also urged to watch out for black ice on the Vardenyats Pass, Aparan and Aragats regional roads, as well as along the Tatev-Ltsen, Gorayk-Zanger and Berd-Chambarak roadways.
According to the Department of Emergency Situations of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center (CMC) of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Larsi highway connecting Armenia and Russia via Georgia is open to all traffic.
