Yerevan mayor announces new changes to transport fares
Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan has announced changes to the city's public transport fares that will be approved at the upcoming City Council meeting on February 11, following an analysts of feedback on the unified ticket system. The proposed changes include:
• 10 trips for 2,000 drams (45-day validity, instead of 2,200 drams for 30 days)
• 300 drams for a ticket valid for 180 minutes (instead of 90 minutes)
• 900 drams for one day of unlimited trips (instead of 8 trips)
• 5,000 drams for seven days of unlimited trips (instead of 30 trips)
The following packages are available from January 1:
• 30 days: 9,000 drams
• 90 days: 24,000 drams
• 365 days: 90,000 drams
Avinyan said additional improvements to the public transportation system would also be presented.
