Armenian security chief warns of intense flights likely carrying military equipment to Baku
Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan has expressed concern over the latest statements made by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding Armenia.
Speaking to reporters on Thursday, Grigoryan reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to the peace agenda, noting that Yerevan was awaiting a response to its latest peace proposals to Baku.
“We have proposed solutions to all key issues, including the unblocking of regional communications as part of the Crossroads of Peace project,” Grigoryan said.
"In general, Azerbaijan’s statements raise concerns. Additionally, we are observing intensified military exercises and flights from other countries, which are likely transporting military equipment to Baku," he warned.
Grigoryan highlighted the Armenian government’s efforts to ensure stability in the region, citing the deployment of European Union monitors along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, Armenia’s decision to join the Rome Statute and military reforms in the country.
