Opposition MP accuses Armenian leadership of planning more concessions to Azerbaijan
Artsvik Minasyan, an MP from the opposition Hayastan faction, has denounced the Armenian government's decision to continue the border delimitation and demarcation process with Azerbaijan from Tavush Province.
Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday, Minasyan described the move as "unacceptable" and emphasized that the process must comply with international standards while ensuring proportionality.
The opposition MP accused Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s government of planning to cede more territory to Azerbaijan through the delimitation process.
"When this government came to power in 2018, it made lofty promises to the people. Yet for seven years, it has repeatedly ceded and compromised without gaining anything in return. This is just another phase in that process," Minasyan stated.
He called for national consolidation to prevent further concessions to Azerbaijan and to “restore Armenia’s dignity.”
"The incumbent authorities openly admit their plans to make more concessions to Baku, while accusing the opposition of promoting Azerbaijani narratives. Whereas, they themselves do it every single day," Minasyan added.
