Artur Vanetsyan honors fallen soldiers in Army Day message
Homeland Party Chairman Artur Vanetsyan, former director of Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS), issued a congratulatory message on the 33rd anniversary of the Armenian Army celebrated on January 28.
"Despite all attacks on the Armenian army by external and internal enemies, the armed forces of Armenia have not only achieved glorious victories and ensured our territorial integrity and security for many years, but also continue to serve as the cornerstone for restoring the glory and strength of Armenian statehood," Vanetsyan said.
“On Armenian Army Day, we must bow our heads in reverence to our martyrs of all times. They faced death with courage, bearing Yeghishe’s words in mind: “Unconscious death is death; conscious death is immortality.” Through their conscious sacrifice, they not only gained immortality but also ensured the longevity of Armenian statehood.
“I strongly believe that the Armenian army will regain its former strength and will once again command the respect of our enemies, enabling us to reclaim a sense of victory, safety and collective force, ready to deliver a crushing blow to any encroachments on our territories,” the message read.
